CELEBRATE THE AUTUMN HARVEST AT ALBERTINA’S RESTAURANT

Local guest chefs to join Albertina's executive chef Alex Diomis for eight-course Albertina's Chefs' Dinner: Autumn Harvest


 

 

Albertina's Restaurant (424 NE 22nd Ave., Portland) will host its first autumn harvest dinner on Thursday, October 20 at 7 p.m. Brian Landry of Bamboo Sushi, Christina Chambers of The Heathman Restaurant & Bar, pastry chef Charles Mason from Whole Foods at Tanasbourne, and baker McRae Freeman of Arleta Library Bakery Café will join Albertina’s executive chef Alex Diomis to prepare an eight-course tasting menu inspired by the rich flavors of the harvest season.

 

A variety of culinary creations comprise the evening's menu. Featured items include: spinach and acorn squash salad topped with soft cheeses, walnuts and brown butter vinaigrette; creton on sesame flatbread with pickled apples; slow cooked rabbit with chorizo; autumn inspired dolma; and pork belly pumpkin jus glaze with root vegetables and caramelized Brussels sprouts.

Cost:               $55 per person (wine pairing available for additional cost). Proceeds and tips from the chefs' dinner help support the work of Albertina Kerr.

The Chefs’ Dinner: Autumn Harvest, is one of a series of upcoming chefs’ dinners where local Portland chefs come together to showcase great cuisine while giving back to their community. On January 12, the chefs’ dinner will feature Oregon Truffles and Wines. On April 19, the bounty of the Northwest will be featured at the second annual Earth Day Chefs’ Dinner.
