At Albertina Kerr, our Crisis Psychiatric Care for Youth (Subacute) provides a safe, supportive space where youth can stabilize during mental health crises. Through individualized, trauma-informed care, Kerr’s Subacute program nurtures and empowers youth to recover, reflect, and build essential skills for thriving in the future.

Our 49 Psychiatric Technicians at Subacute are crucial in maintaining the safety and well-being of youth in crisis. With compassion and a trauma-informed approach, they lead therapeutic groups, respond to health concerns, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide individualized care. Psychiatric Technicians play a vital role in helping youth navigate mental health challenges, offering stability and support during some of the most critical moments in their lives.

We are incredibly grateful for the compassion and dedication our Psychiatric Technicians bring every day. They make a lasting difference in the lives of the youth we serve.
