Albertina Kerr is pleased to announce the appointment of three distinguished individuals to key positions within our organization. Aaron Cilek has been named the new Chair of Kerr’s Foundation Board of Trustees, and Aaron Goff and Judy Powell have joined Kerr’s Governing Board of Directors.
Aaron Cilek, LL.M (pictured left), Partner Attorney at Nay & Friedenberg, is the new Chair of Kerr’s Foundation Board of Trustees. A former high school English teacher, Aaron excels at facilitating generational transitions and addressing family and social issues. His clients appreciate his gentle demeanor, listening skills, and expertise in crafting custom plans. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, a JD from Ave Maria School of Law, and an LL.M from the University of Miami’s Heckerling Program in Estate Planning.
Aaron Goff (pictured center), CEO of Embold Credit Union, and his wife, Chris, are parents to two children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), fueling his passion for promoting inclusion, acceptance, and opportunity for individuals with I/DD. He is enthusiastic about furthering this mission through his new role on Kerr’s Governing Board of Directors, supporting Oregon’s largest provider of vocational, housing, and other services for people with I/DD and mental health challenges.
Aaron is a seasoned professional with over 25 years in the financial services industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Park University. His commitment to community service is evident through his previous role as Board Chair for Exceed Enterprises and his ongoing involvement with the Boards of Special Olympics Oregon and the Clackamas Repertory Theatre. He also volunteers with the nonprofit Liv with Purpose.
Judy Powell (pictured right), Owner/President of Benefit Resources Inc. Agency, is a dedicated advocate for community inclusion, driven by her personal experience as the parent of a daughter with Down syndrome who was a supported worker at Exceed Enterprises. Judy says she looks forward to collaborating as a member of Kerr’s Governing Board of Directors to enhance the dignity, safety, and self-esteem of those Kerr serves.
Judy brings extensive experience as an independent insurance broker specializing in life, health, and long-term care. She has been affiliated with Exceed Enterprises since 1987, serving in various leadership roles, including president and, most recently, vice president. She contributed significantly to Exceed’s Resource Development Committee by securing sponsorships, donations, and collaborative support for the mission. She currently serves on Edwards Center’s Vox Homes, a component of Edwards’ Family & Friends Support Network.
These new appointments bring a wealth of experience and dedication to Albertina Kerr. We are confident their unique perspectives and expertise will significantly contribute to our continued success.
